The 3A Girls State Finals game fittingly featured the two best girls teams in Indiana. Both teams featured suffocating defense and exciting attacking play. Unfortunately, one of the teams had to lose in a really well played game. The Noblesville Millers defeated the Greyhounds 1-0.
The girls finish the year at 18-1-3 (7-0-0) In the 26 years that the IHSAA has sanctioned soccer, Carmel High School has now appeared in 13 state final games, winning 10 and finishing second in 3. The 10 championships are first all-time in tournament history while the 3 second place finishes rank second all-time. This year’s team continued that legacy of excellence.
