The Greyhounds, ranked #2 in the latest Indiana Soccer Coaches poll, defeated 7th ranked MIC rival Center Grove away on Wednesday evening to clinch the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference girls soccer championship. The team finished with a perfect MIC record of 7-0-0 and season record of 13-0-3. The Greyhounds are one of only two 3A girls soccer teams to end the regular season without a loss. The offensive star of the game was Kelsie James. Kelsie lead the team tonight with 2 goals and an assist. Defensively, the team was lead by goalkeeper Erin Baker who recorded 9 saves.

The team plays next in IHSAA Sectional 10 which will be hosted by Carmel. The girls will play the winner of the Zionsville/Westfield Monday game on Thursday, October 10 at 5 PM.
