The Lady Hounds raced against a stacked field at the Riverview Health Invite on Saturday and came away victorious. Carmel was led by Sophomore Jasmine Klopstad with a 5th place finish. Rounding out the top 7 were Alivia Romaniuk, Cara Nass, Brooklynn Edwards, Jamie Klavon, Roni Ledezma and Emersyn Weaver.

Coaches Comments: “We were able to accomplish exactly what we needed to today against a solid field on a tough and hilly course. Jasmine faced many of the top runners in the State and held her own. And our 2-5 ran a terrific pack race to secure the win. I was quite impressed with what they did even on tired legs and can’t wait to see what that looks like when the tournament season begins.”

Next week Carmel will try to defend their title at the MIC Championship meet being hosted by Pike High School.
