Carmel’s Girls’ Cross Country team competed in the IHSAA Regional held at Noblesville on Saturday morning. This is one of the most challenging regionals in Indiana for girls’ cross country, and the ‘Hounds represented well. The Lady Greyhounds took the lead in the race at the very start and never looked back. Jasmine Klopstad, Brooke Waldal, Brooklynn Edwards, Alivia Romaniuk and Jamie Klavon led the team to a first place finish with a score of 58 points.
Coach’s Comments:
Today our team did exactly what we needed to by coming out and taking care of business in the second week of the tournament. I was really excited to see Brooklnn step up and chase down the other race leaders as this will become more and more important as the season progresses. We are looking forward to meeting next week’s challenge.
