On a chilly Wednesday night, the varsity lacrosse team faced off against Zionsville for a battle of 2A schools. Carmel came out to an early lead, 3-0 after a quarter and extended that lead to 6-0 at half.
Going into the third quarter the team got rolling and scored 6 more goals. As the game went on, Zionsville scored late in the 4th to finish the game at 16-1.
“Our defense looked great today. We played with a lot of discipline and tenacity, never letting our opponent look comfortable. It was great to have junior Bryce Cannon back out there healthy, he and the rest of the defense looked great” coach Meachum commented.
The team is off to spring break with no games until 4/16 when they host Homestead for a Friday night match-up.
