The boys cross country team finished third behind top-ranked Concordia and Brebeuf Jesuit, scoring 100 point to fall 31 shy of the top spot and three behind the runners-up. Freshman Kole Mathison again led the squad with a 15:49 performance that was good for eighth place in a loaded field that contained many individual state championship contenders and All-State runners. Senior Grant Moon also to the Greyhounds off to a good start with his 15:59 race to finish 13th. Senior Austin Throckmorton, senior Ben Myers and junior Hudson Alden also scored for the ‘Hounds in the varsity race.
In the JV, the ‘Hounds won a tight team battle with Cathedral, 30-36. Freshman Charlie Leedke finished second overall in 17:17. He was joined by senior TK Shishikura, junior James Gastineau, junior Nate Seketa and sophomore Connor Heagy in scoring for the ‘Hounds.
