Senior Robert Major finished an outstanding season with a 40-1 record and the state runner-up at the IHSAA State Finals. Against his opponent from Evansville Mater Dei in the championship match, Major was defeated in a match-up for the ages 15 to 11. There were three reversals in the closing minute of the match which led to the outcome very much in doubt until the final horn. Robert was the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference champion at 160 pounds this year and was also ranked #1 in the state at his weight class for much of the season. Major was the first Greyhound to compete in a state individual match since 2008 (Chris Mascaro).
