Greyhounds News · Jeff Hester named new Assistant AD

We are extremely pleased to welcome Mr. Jeff Hester as our new Assistant Athletic Director at Carmel High School.  Carmel Clay Schools received 172 applications from candidates all over the state and beyond for this important role.  Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and his master’s degree from the University of Akron in Ohio.

Mr. Hester has served as a High School Athletic Director for the past 17 years in the state of Indiana.  He was the Athletic Director at Heritage Christian for 5 years and most recently served as the Athletic Director at Columbus North High School with an enrollment of over 2,000 students.  While at Columbus North, Mr. Hester was named the Indiana Athletic Director of the Year in District 4.

Under Jeff’s leadership, his student athletes have achieved 12 team IHSAA state championships and produced 8 individual IHSAA champions.  Most impressive are the 9 IHSAA Mental Attitude Award winners earned from his student athletes.

Carmel High School Athletic Director, Jimmy Inskeep shared, “Jeff started the Champions Together initiative at Columbus North which will add to our already strong program at Carmel.  His background as a leader will bring many new ideas to our athletic department to make it even stronger.  Jeff’s personality and positive attitude will be a great fit in the culture established by our coaching staff and student-athletes.”

We are excited for Jeff’s future work with Carmel High School and our student athletes.
