    • Select “Register an Athlete” in the top right
    • Submit IHSAA Physical & Consent Form if you are new to CCS athletics in Fall 2020
      • If you participated in HS or MS athletics with Carmel during 2019-2020 school year you do NOT have to submit a new physical.  Please disregard this portion of the registration process.
    • Submit CHS Emergency Medical Information & Consent Form
  3. Download and Submit weekly training log via Final Surge mobile app.

Spring/Summer Calendar:

Pre-season conditioning is not required but strongly encouraged in order to prepare for a successful season and to avoid injury.  Download the Final Surge Training App to receive instruction.  Subject to change based upon COVID-19 restrictions.

  • April – May                  Build Mileage (See Final Surge for details)
  • June 1 – June 30        Summer Conditioning (No coach contact; no access to CHS; training via Final Surge App)
  • July 1                          ALL FORMS DUE (submit online)
  • July 6 – July 25          Summer Conditioning (Mon – Thu @ 7:00-9:00am CC locker rooms)
  • July 23                         Time Trial #1 during practice
  • July 27 – July 30    Team Camp (plan on attending)
  • Aug. 3                            Mandatory Practices Begin (Mon – Fri @ 7:00-9:00am)
  • Aug. 4.                          Parent Meeting 6:30-7:30 @ CHS Freshmen Cafeteria
  • Aug. 5                            Time Trial #2 during practice
  • Aug. 11                           First day of School


  • Bring weather appropriate running attire, quality shoes, watch, towel and water bottle
  • Mon – Fri @ CHS (4:15 – 6:15)
  • Saturdays @ Northview (Time TBD)
  • Official team practices begin August 3rd at which time all practices (Mon-Fri) are mandatory
  • For athletes that tryout for another CHS sport and aren’t selected, your mandatory practices start on Aug. 3. The time standard will still need to be met so prepare accordingly.
  • Athletes must have 10 practices of full participation before they are eligible to compete

Time Standard:

  • Freshman – No time standard (all freshmen make the team)
  • Sophomore/Junior/Senior – 7:45 for the 1600m
  • Only those meeting the time standard will be allowed to practice starting Aug 6
  • The purpose for the time standard is for athlete safety and to encourage proper preparation of each athlete before entering the season. The standard can be met with consistent training and conditioning over the spring and summer.

Qualifying Events for Time Standard:

  • Time Trials during practice on July 22 and Aug 5; plan to attend
  • All Athletes will participate in Time Trials as they are used to prepare training plans


  • Practice Pack – $50 (estimate)
  • Parent Club Dues – $50
  • Team Camp – $75
  • Uniform – (only for new athletes)
    • Singlet – $30
    • Shorts – $25
